overheard a doctor ask an anesthesiologist how his day was. “Good,” came
the response. “Everyone’s woken up

當我在上班的醫院餐廳上網時，無意間聽到一位醫師問一位麻醉醫師，當天的工作狀況如何。他回答︰『還好，到目前為止每人都醒了。』(他的麻醉技術不夠好？)
註：
cafeteria n. 一般公司內的附設餐聽；也有用canteen n.福利社或販賣部等；overhear v. 無意間聽到或偷聽；so far = until the present 到現在為」
anesthesiology n. 麻醉科學anesthesiologist麻醉師
2) Teacher: T= island ( T等於海島)
Students: why?
Teacher: Because it is in the middle of water. (因它在水中)
Students: why? (still confused仍然不懂)
Teacher: Look at
the word, WATER. T is in the W-A-T-E-R.
Just like island, it is indeed in the
water. (如同海島，它在水中)

1. wake v. woke, woken；wake up 作不及物動詞用，也可作及物動詞用，wake +人up= awake vt.叫醒
