The swelling protests in Hong Kong that have gripped the world’s attention are Xi Jinping’s and the Chinese Communist Party’s worst nightmare. The fear is that if not properly contained, the street protests could flare into China’s own version of a color revolution (like the Orange Revolution in Ukraine) and prove an existential threat to the leadership.

HRABOVE Ukraine (Reuters) - Ukraine accused Russia and pro-Moscow rebels on Saturday of destroying evidence of "international crimes" from the wreckage of the Malaysian airliner that Kiev says militants shot down with a missile, killing nearly 300 people.

"The terrorists, with the help of Russia, are trying to destroy evidence of international crimes," the Ukrainian government said in a statement. "The terrorists have taken 38 bodies to the morgue in Donetsk," it said, accusing people with "strong Russian accents" of threatening to conduct autopsies.
Ukraine's prime minister said armed men barred government experts from collecting evidence and threatened to detain them.

China tells U.S. to stay out of South China Seas dispute- 中國叫美國別插手南海争端

BEIJING (Reuters) - China told the United States on Tuesday to stay out of disputes over the South China Sea and leave countries in the region to resolve problems themselves, after Washington said it wanted a freeze on stoking tension.

Michael Fuchs, U.S. deputy assistant secretary of state for Strategy and Multilateral Affairs, said no country was solely responsible for escalating tension in the region. But he reiterated the U.S. view that "provocative and unilateral" behaviour by China had raised questions about its willingness to abide by international law.

韓航飛機迫降舊金山機塲時燒毁在跑道上

韓航(Asiana Airlines)一架波音777型飛機，由首爾起飛在降落舊金山機塲時，迫降在跑道上起火燃燒，機尾全毁，機身中段大部分屋頂全燒毁…..

SAN FRANCISCO — A Boeing 777 passenger plane arriving from South Korea on Saturday crashed and caught fire as it landed on the runway at San Francisco International Airport.

There was official confirmation that there are 8 adults and two children in critical condition, and 28in hospital now. After fire crews sprayed foam on the white and red jet, which was scorched by flames from its cockpit area to behind its wings. Emergency escape slides were deployed from the doorways and some people who had been on board were seen moving away from aircraft………

官方確認有8位成人與2位小孩傷勢嚴重，共28人住院治療中，起火後機員噴灑泡沫滅火劑。火熖由駕駛艙燒到機翼後面。緊急滑梯從機身側打開，機上旅客被看到從機上滑下…….
