72) fall / fell / feel/ felt / felled:

 

1. feel vi / vt.  感覺 / 觸摸；其過去式和過去分詞為 felt felt

a. He ~s like an idiot. 他感覺像個白癡。

Do you ever ~ like an accident waiting to happen? 你曾否感到彷彿意外

事件正等著發生？

b. It ~s like linen. 摸起來像亞麻。

c. I ~ like taking a walk. =I have a strong desire to take a walk. 我很想散步。

d. She ~as if a cold wind lashed against her face. 她感到一陣冷風鞭打她的顏面。

比較：

~ Vt.  ~ the punch     苦於缺錢。

b. Taste and ~ the difference. 嚐嚐看，然後感覺口感的不同。

c. Hurricane is felt on many fronts. 許多濱水區受到颶風之災害。

2. fall   vi  落下 ；其過去式和過去分詞為  fell  fallen ，~ to pieces

跌得粉碎 ，~ behind 落後 = lag。

a. More Americans have fallen behind on consumer loans than at any time in the

last 16 years. 比過去16年來任何時間，有更多美國人延後繳納消費性貸款。 

b. Debris from a fallen building covered a street. 從倒下建築物掉落的碎片

覆蓋了一條街道。比較：fallen leaves 已落下的樹葉；falling leaves 落葉

His plan falls through. 他的計劃未能實現。(= fails to be materialized)

fall vi (作連綴動詞用) + 主詞補語 ( n. / adj.)：

a. Many motorcyclists fall victims to the bad road design. 許多騎土成為道路不良

設計的犧牲品。

b. He fell flat on his face (back). 他臉(背)部朝下倒下。~ dead / wounded 倒下死亡

(受傷倒下)

c. No one falls for online scams 沒有人上了網路上詐騙的當。(fall for .受騙)

d. His success fell short of our anticipation.他的成就未達到我們的期望。

(*~ short of…不足；未達)

e. Her frail spirit is in danger of falling further into despair.她脆弱的精神

正處於跌入更深的絕望。

3. fell vt. 砍倒 ( =cut down) 其過去式和過去分詞為felled  felled  

a. They felled the big tree yesterday. 昨天他們砍了樹。

b. Due to ~ ed trees, traffic was blocked.  被砍下的樹木阻擋了交通。

force v.強迫 n. 力量；forces 軍隊；力量； (* enforce v. 執行)

1. forced adj. 被迫的：a ~ landing 迫降 ** emergency landing 緊急降落；

crash landing  擦撞降落

A forced landing cannot be avoided in that situation. 在那種情勢下迫降是不

能避免的。

售不動產。

2. forceful adj. 強烈的；有力的；~ personality 強烈的個性

3. forcible a. 強制的

a. The ~ entry of the landlord is illegal. 房東的行進入是非法的。

b. The Jewish settlers in the Gaza Strip are being forcibly removed. 在加薩

走廊的猶太殖民者正被強制驅逐。
