“Love Is a Many-Splendored Thing”

『愛情光茫四射』

一、簡介：本曲在1955嬴得電影奧斯卡最佳主題曲( Academy Award for Best Original Song) 。它由 Sammy Fain 作曲， Paul Francis Webster. 作詞。本曲從 1967 to到1973公開作為電影主題曲(the theme song) 。

本電影是愛情故事(drama-romance film.)，以香港為故事背景(1949–50 Hong Kong) 。它叙述一位美國記者(William Holden飾)，已婚但分居，愛上歐亞混血女醫生-韓素音-中國人 (Jennifer Jones飾), 但他們的愛情却受到她的中國家庭與香港社會的歧視。(only to encounter prejudice from her family and from Hong Kong society.) 本電影乃根據由韓素音(Han Suyin).所寫自傳小說 (autobiographical novel)-A Many-Splendoured Thing改編而成。由Henry King. 導演。本片中文譯名為『生死戀』
