1. machine  n. (可數名詞) sewing ~ s 縫紉機；washing ~ s 洗碗機 (=dishwasher)

；answering ~ s電話答錄機〔* clothes washer 洗衣機〕但，刈草機，叫lawn

mower；吹風機；烘乾機叫dryer 

2. machinery (U) n. 集合名詞 (指機器的總稱; 通常作單數用) ~ works

機器工廠

(裁縫店)  「我們不用機器拆您的衣服；我們用手工慢慢拆。」

3. mechanism (U) n. 機械作用; 手法; 技巧；the ~ of defense (防衛手法)

與字之間的空位保持均勻的mechanism

b. = remarkable 顯著的These are most ~ monsters. 他們是最明顯的怪物。

2. memorial a. n. 紀念的 (指建築物等)

總統的雕像。
