二. 形容詞 ( Adjective)- 形容名詞或代名詞
41) A Tokyo- bound train collided with a truck at the intersection. (一列
開往東京的火車在平交道和一輛卡車相撞。)

bind v. 約束;(過去式) – bound
p.p.- bound
2. binding a. 有約束力
This
contract is ~ on both parties. 這個合約對雙方有約束力。
It
is lawfully ~ 它具法律約束力。比較:law-abiding citizens 守法的公民
3. bound
a.
人 (或交通工具) be ~ for + 地點; (開往; 前往)
The
train is ~(= destined) for

= This is a Chicago-bound train.

= be certain to + V. 一定會:They are ~ to carry it out. 他們肯定會落實它。

= be obliged / obligated /compelled to +V 被迫;不得不

1. 形容詞 + 名詞 + ed = 形容詞 (作限制性用)

man with an open mind = an open
(broad)-minded man 心胸開闊的人

person with a narrow mind = a narrow-minded
man 心胸狹隘的人

person who has a good (bad) temper = a good (bad;

4. 名詞 -V- ing = 形容詞 (作限制性用)

界,多少有點引發恐懼的影響。

an effect which induces awe….
