八、動狀詞  (Verbal) (又稱變體動詞)

24) This is the wisest decision, all things considered. (若經考慮一切，它是最明智

的決定。)

       all things considered 乃一慣用absolute phrase (獨立片語)

 = If all things are considered….

= If we take all things into consideration….. 若將一切事情加以考慮.. (宏觀一切);

 considering 之用法,另請參閱 第26題 說明

25)  Some passengers were injured, including Tom and Henry. (有些旅客受傷，包含 Tom 和 Henry。)                                                       

  including (包含) + Noun (Pronoun)  = 名詞 (代名詞) + included= = inclusive of

+ N. & Pronoun.

** excluding   不包含；除外  ~ + N. (Pro.代名詞) = N. (Pro.) + excluded

26) Considering his youth, he was released. (鑒於年幼；他被釋放。)

1.considering 作介詞用= in view of  (鑒於)

2. 有些其他 Ving 的字亦作介詞用; concerning = regarding  = respecting   (關於 ) 

           

Concerning his future plan, he said no further. 關於未來計畫，他未進一步說話。

*As far as the book is concerned, there is some doubt about its truth.

=As for the book, there is some doubt about its truth.

至於本書， 它的真實性仍有懷疑。 

*** as (so) far as + S. + be concerned    (至於， 就…而論)
