1. eminent adj. 傑出的 = outstanding; conspicuous 

2. imminent adj. 即將來臨 =about to occur；~ danger

即將來臨。

b. The pregnant woman was confirmed that delivery was definitely ~.已被確認該孕婦

entrance 與 entry 皆由 enter  v. 轉成：

a. In the U.S. a student is admitted to a college not by entrance exams but by

application. 在美國學生入大學，並非參加入學考試而是用申請的方式。

b. A police officer adds a bouquet to a line of flowers at the ~ to King’s Cross Station.

       在King’s Cross車站入口處，一位警官將一束花放到和一排花一起。

電腦網站入口  比較：exit  n. 出口 (= off-ramp 美國高速公路出口)

2. entry n. 入口 = entrance 入會; (在美國比較常用)

No entry!  禁止入內 !  (法律用語-侵入，進入，大都用於主要入口，如：

高速公路 或入境。
