12) clear / clarify:

1. clear v. 清理；清除

a. After the accident, the highway was ~ ed. 車禍後，公路被加以清理。

b. They ~ed the land to build a log cabin. 他們清理這塊地來蓋小木屋。

c. The singer was ~ ed on all counts. 這位歌星洗脫了所有罪名。

2. clear a. 清楚的; 暢通的 make. …~ 講明白

a. Do I make myself ~? = Is that understood? 我的意思你明白了嗎?

1. clearness n. 暢通 (clear v 清理) ；明亮 (clear a. 清楚的)
