80) imaginary / imaginative:

續上題由imagine 動詞轉成：

1.     imaginative a. 富有想像力的；~ power 想像力。

通常一個動詞後的介、副詞若置於動詞前，可構成一名詞連結字：

income n. 收入；employees with high (low) ~ 高 (低) 收入員工

outcome. n. 結果

a. Confidence is the expectation of a positive~. 信心就是期待一個肯定的結果。

b. The study found the treatment produced “good clinical outcomes” 這項研究發現

，治療產生良好的臨床效果。

input n. 出力；意見；忠告     output n 產量； 電量

intake n.入口；吸入量         inflow n. 湧 (流) 入

inlet n.  

a. 灣 (海、湖)  b. 插 (鑲) 入物 c. 進入的通路 ~ and outlet channels 入水和

出水的通道

outlet  n. 

a.出口 = a passage for letting something out

For Asian films, a new outlet helps reach wider audience一條新管道，幫助亞洲電影

找到更廣闊的客戶市場。

b.發洩 = a means of expression

Finally she found an ~ for anger. 她終於找到洩忿的管道。

c.銷售市場(大賣場) = a market for goods；，如 hardware ~ 五金大賣場；

clothes~ 衣服大賣場；factory ~ 工廠直銷店

注意：下列字可作動詞用：

* outgrow v. 因年長而改掉某習慣；outnumber v. 數目比…多；outlive v.

比…長壽；outdo v. 做得比..好；outbid  vt比….出更高價錢

介、副詞/+ 名詞=名詞

inpatient n. 住院病人；outpatient n. 門診病人；out law n. 亡命之徒；inland  n.

內陸~ empire 內陸地區；in-house (adj.) counselor 駐在公司的律師；outline n. 輪廓；

online 網上；indoor a. 室內的 indoors adv. outdoor  a.外的 outdoors adv.

**inside adj.adv 內部的；**outside adj. adv. 外部的

People believe it is an inside job. 據信它是監守自盜。

He is an outsider.他是局外人。an insider 局內人，熟悉內情者；

an outsider 局外人

The umbrella was blown inside out. 雨傘被吹翻。

The car was turnedupside down.車子翻覆。downside n. 低落 (物價、景氣)
